FAQ
GENERAL
How can I contact you? Email me at info@bbdcreatives.com
What if I have questions about a piece?
Just email me directly or use the CONTACT button on the website.
I live outside the United States. Can I still purchase your art?
Yes, as soon as U.S. tariffs are determined. Additional shipping fees apply for all work shipped internationally.
Do the paintings come framed?
No, none of the paintings come with a frame. Each customer can then choose the most appropriate frame and mat. Where possible, individual pieces come with the appropriate hanging hardware and can be hung without a frame, if preferred.
How do I display the Nested Branches?
Depending on the piece, they can be displayed on a flat surface such as a table, perhaps as a centerpiece, or a side table or console table. Others are best displayed on walls. Many pieces come with wire loops on the back of the branch. The placement of these loops has been carefully determined, based on the size of the piece and its natural points of contact on a wall.
What does the term “mixed media” mean?
Mixed media paintings can incorporate materials such as paper, graphite, ink, or markers in addition to acrylic paints. Mixed media Nested Branches incorporate copper wire on natural branches with additional items such as seeds and pebbles colored with paint or markers.
What comes with the artwork?
Each signed piece comes with a certificate of authenticity, which shows the title of the work, its size, what materials were used, and the year it was created
How do I take care of the art I purchase from you?
Almost all paintings are coated with a varnish to seal and protect the piece. Make sure to keep the artwork out of direct sunlight to avoid possible fading.
All Nested Branches are fragile because the branches are natural and not reinforced with any glues or binding materials. Take care in determining where to hang or place the piece to avoid possible breakage.
Do you take commissions?
Yes. Email me and let me know your thoughts.
Are you interested in being contacted by galleries or agents?
Yes, I’m happy to discuss possible representation.
PAYMENT
What types of payment do you accept?
Credit and debit cards. After you make your purchase, an invoice will be generated and emailed to you.
What are your payment terms?
Full payment is expected at the time of purchase.
Will I have to pay any additional taxes on my order if I am located outside the United States?
International orders may be subject to import taxes, duties, and other customs charges. The charges vary by country. At this time, we are unable to calculate them in advance. For more information regarding your country’s customs policies, please contact your local customs office. If such a fee is imposed on your package, you are responsible for its payment.
SHIPPING
What are shipping costs?
Shipping is priced on a piece-by-piece basis, depending on the size of the art, its weight, shipping location, and whether mailing insurance is requested. Domestic shipping is typically handled via the US Postal Service.
Is shipping included in my order?
No, unless otherwise specified on the website. Shipping costs contribute toward packing supplies, labor, and transit fees.
How soon will I receive my artwork after purchase?
Artworks will be packed and shipped within 5-10 working days of purchase. Most U.S. deliveries arrive within 5 business days from time of shipping, contingent upon factors beyond my control. Please allow 8-10 business days for delivery.
Can you ship internationally?
Yes, to most countries, when U.S. tariffs are not in flux. Of course, it will take longer to arrive depending on your location than if it were shipped domestically. Overseas shipments may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the laws of the destination country. Any additional charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Returns and Refunds
Do you have a return policy?
I want you to be fully happy with your purchase. If it does not meet your expectations, you have 7 days upon receipt to contact me by email and request a refund. Once a return has been agreed upon, you are responsible for proper packing, shipping, and insurance. Return delivery must use the same service as it was sent to you. Once the piece has been returned undamaged, your payment will be refunded within 14 days of receipt.
Every care has been taken to show the artwork as accurately as possible. The image you see online may differ slightly from the actual art, depending upon the browsers, devices, and screen settings used. Any variation between the image represented and the actual artwork is not deemed a fault, and slight inconsistencies will not be a valid reason for return.
Credit Card: Any refunds processed via credit/debit card will show in your bank account within 7 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
What if my artwork arrives damaged?
Keep all package materials. All work is carefully packed and wrapped. If you receive a piece that has been damaged in transit, please contact me within 7 days of receipt and send a clear photograph of the damaged area.
Do you take returns from international addresses?
No. I am unable to offer a refund or return on any product(s) sent outside of the USA.
